Exit Interview - January 2019

QUESTIONS:
1. Comment about your work ethic in this course.
 2. Which assignments did you enjoy and why?
 3. Which assignments did you struggle with and why?

ANSWERS:
1. I feel like my work ethic in this class was good. I always tried my best, except for the times I was messing around which was fun. I always tried to do what was asked of me. I don't really have a computer that has the kind of software and hardware to do the stuff in this course at home, so if there was homework I did what I could.
2. My favorite assignment was between Adobe Premier Pro and Minecraft and Raft. I liked these assignments because I like the programs and I felt like I knew how to use them.
3. I did not like the thunkable assignments because the program never worked properly. There was a lot of excess effort that was included in this, i.e. the picture sharing paraphernalia. I still get emails from cloudinary to this day even though I unsubscribed.

Game Journalism Play 3

  1. Today I finally built a shark head trophy even though I have killed 3 sharks. I also built a paint mill and a bunch of wet bricks. I wanted a paint mill because I had some flowers and I had the materials for it so I just built it.

  2. I will always take great pride in the shark head hanging on my raft, and once I kill the seagull I will be able to make a paint brush to use the paint.
  3. Tomorrow I need to get a giant clam shell.

Game Journalism Play 2

  1. Today I mainly focused on learning more about playing the game efficiently. I tried to make some planters to grow some produce. I also made a second and third level on my raft with stairs in order to access high island's. I killed one shark but then it came back and killed me thrice, which was aggravating.
  2. I learned that storing things in chests and containers is much smarter than storing it in your personal inventory as that is lost upon death. I also learned that the ergonomics of your raft does matter and that it is better if you have things easily accessible. A good feature is the net that one can attach to the raft to collect resources in stead of having to pick it up manually.
  3. A strategy I want to try tomorrow is reinforcing the raft edges so that it is not as easy to attack. Also I really want to make bricks to get a smelter for metal ingots which is important in farther ahead gameplay.
  4.   I have done all these things to add to the quality of life. Stairs to reach higher islands. Storage so I don't carry it all on hand. Grill and Purifier for basic food and water. A net to maximize collected resources. A Research Table to get more advanced tools.
